This is the second film I made with Amy. It is always a blessing for me to be able to follow and tell Amys story.
At this point in Amy’s live she had to break off her studies at Salsbury and moved back home to Northumberland. Here she was able to settle into her new studio which had been converted from a cow shed into a living space.
In this film we are following up on her life with a different kind of vision.

Documentary stories with Amy Izat -1-
We met at Falmouth University, Amy a fine art student and I, a Film student.
In 2018 Amy and I created our first visual poetry together. All we knew was that Amy was a skilful artist and I a curious filmmaker and we both wanted to create.
For this project we were lucky enough to be able to stay one night at Amy’s aunties Cinderella looking tower. Of course we used this opportunity to create.
It was just Amy with her pencils and paper and me with my camera and sound recorder. On our arrival of the most beautiful and idyllic film location in the depth of Devon, we started recording. What followed was a dreamy, emotional and magical outcome. Have a look for yourself and let me know what you think.
